Overview
The Problem
Language creates barriers in a world where video is how we communicate. Most content exists in a single language, making it difficult for creators to reach global audiences and for families and communities to share meaningful content. Current solutions like subtitles interrupt the experience and fail to capture voice, tone, and emotion.
The Solution
I designed Linga as a social platform that helps creators share videos across languages without relying on subtitles. The experience preserves the speaker’s voice, tone, and expressions, making translated content feel natural and authentic. By combining translation with a familiar social interface, Linga helps creators reach global audiences while keeping their content personal.
My Role
For my thesis, I led the full product design process from concept and research to UX/UI design and prototyping. I focused on how language translation could fit naturally into a social media experience, prioritizing clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.
Outcome
The final outcome is a fully designed mobile app prototype that demonstrates how creators can share and translate videos seamlessly across languages, making content more accessible to global audiences.
